After picking up all the stitches, Place Marker (PM).

Join to work in the round.

  • Knit all stitches to the beginning of round (BOR) marker (this is Stockinette stitch in the round).

Continue knitting in Stockinette stitch until the side measures 15 cm.

Drawstring Holes and Finishing

Repeat (YO, K2tog) to the beginning of round (BOR) marker. (This creates the eyelets for the drawstring.)

Work 5 more rounds of Stockinette stitch (knit every stitch).
Bind Off all stitches.

Weave in all yarn tails (ends).
Thread a thin cord or drawstring onto a tapestry needle. Weave the cord through the eyelet holes created by the YOs, alternating in and out (as shown in Photo 03).

To use the cover: Remove the cardboard tube from the center of the tissue roll. Pull the starting tissues out through the center and insert the roll into the finished cover (as shown in Photo 04).
